Vipers Parents,

Welcome to the Vipers Season!  I wanted to throw out a little heads up as we enter into tournament season.

All our teams are about to step into what we say, the “Big Pond”. Heading to Manteca is where all the top tier teams play. It’s a great experience for our kids to see what it takes to compete with this level of play. As well playing in some stadium type atmospheres. Turf fields, lights, you name it.

But I want everyone to realize, we are a neighborhood club comprised of 1 little league. (Not many clubs do what we are doing). In 2022, the team my 13u team would likely play that weekend (For the 5th time in a year and have gone 0-5 against), pulls from a 5 hour radius to play on this one top tier team in our area. My kids love the challenge and believe one day we will beat them.

From a parents side, enjoy the weekend and encourage the boys to do their best.  Soak up this time.

We will all end up playing at Big League Dreams or Mistilin Sports Park on Saturday and then swap for Sunday. So please review the schedule from your manager. No Seeds, No metal cleats. They charge gate fees to get in, no coolers or food. But they do sell drinks, food and beer at (some of)these facilities. Please enjoy yourself, but not too much on the beer side as we all represent the Vipers Club.

Lastly, there could be tournaments that can have as many as 84 teams in total over all divisions, so it will likely be the biggest tournament the boys play in.  Take it all in!
